Well this is one that I wanted to see a 1927 silent classic Metropolis at the Watershed.
Storyline:
In a futuristic city sharply divided between the working class and the city planners, the son of the city's mastermind falls in love with a working class prophet who predicts the coming of a savior to mediate their differences.
The discovery in 2008 of a 16mm negative of the original version of Fritz Lang's Metropolis at the Museo de Cine in Buenos Aires was sensational news as it contained 25 minutes of previously unseen footage. Using the latest techniques of digital restoration the film was restored to its original glory, unseen since 1927.
Have to say that I had been looking forward to this since booking the tickets but due circumstances and other factors it never quite happened.
With any luck it will come around again as it would be nice to watch it on the big screen.
