Gloucester and Sharpness Canal

Spent a rather nice weekend at on and near Gloucester and Sharpness canal.

The weekend started with some friends near the canal system that runs between Sharpness and Gloucester .  Spent the evening on board their Narrow Boat. Fireworks were lit and copious amounts of food consumed.

Sunday took a leisurely cruse up the canal to Saul Junction for diesel then onward towards Gloucester. We then moored and had lunch before heading back. The sun shone all day and I have to say that it was a very tranquil day with swans and ducks passing and life just running at a slower pace wonderful...

So my thanks to MR P and his other half K for good food and company.
