Synopsis:-
American singer Belinda Carlisle made her name as lead vocalist of the Go-Go’s, one of the most successful all-female groups ever. The group sold over 7 million albums, and Carlisle went on to make a successful solo career for herself with hits such as ‘Mad About You’, ‘I Get Weak’ and ‘Heaven Is A Place on Earth’, securing her status as a pop icon. Her back catalogue contains some of the boldest and brightest pop music of the 80s and 90s. After a greatest hits release and a Go-Go’s reunion album in the early 2000s, Carlisle took a long break before releasing another album of original work. Carlisle released her first UK single, ‘Sun’, in over a decade in 2013 alongside a seconds Greatest Hits album, ‘ICON’.
