Wisper 806 Alpino

So been looking for an electric bike and came across a British build Wisper 806 Alpino

So made an offer and paid a visit to Birmingham to collect it.

Bike works fine just need a little bit of cosmetic works to tidy it up.

As you can see only simple cosmetics nothing that a new pair of grips and a clean wont cure.

So lets start with the tyres they are on the large size I am sure that they thought that it was better but not for me as the first puddle that I rode through I had water sprayed up the front of me. So I thought let's change the tyres to something that fits and allows the mud guard's to be fitted.

After hunting around for parts the manufacturer has been very helpful in supplying some of the parts that I required.

First off took the bike completely apart and discover that it wont quite fit in a bike maintenance rack then was watching a repair on you tube and saw a simple solution to holding it in the rack ... clamp it at the seat post.

Painted the handle bars with satin black.

So what parts have I fitted.

Fitted new tyres some xxxxxxxx
Painted the pannier rack black again as it had a few chips
Fitted a new key as the previous owner had lost the key
Painted the handle bar black again

Fitted some new mudguards in black

So it's now January 2015 and finally got some time to fit the new grips and the controls back on the handle bars.

New brake cable's next ........

Well time fly s its now the beginning of February and I have done very little work on the bike .

As you will notice I have done the electrics.. and shrink wrapped the cables.

And the bike is now back together ....

So all serviced up and ready to roll I will give it a spin around the block tomorrow and check the settings but that should be it bike done....

So to recap it started looking like this .....

And finished up looking like this ....
